He will be discussing his book Portland Neck: The Hanging of Thomas Bird which is the story of Thomas Bird who became the first ordered execution under the United States Constitution in June of 1790. ...Start getting your favorite chili recipe ready. The Third Annual Battle of the Bowls will take place on Sunday, November 14th from 12-2 at the Center Lovell Fire House. This popular event donates all proceeds to the Friends Helping Friends program. There are two categories: Peoples' Choice and the Judges' Favorites.
