More photos from around town--Route 5 in Center Lovell and Slab City Road. No signs of Central Maine Power anywhere so I'm anticipating another two or three days but hoping for sooner!

A beautiful summer day in Lovell. Nothing unusual about that at the end of August except for the hum of generators throughout town. Lovell Village is in good shape (if only I had a shower in the office) but numerous sections of town are without power. Wires and poles were taken down by falling trees. Talk about disruption! I was on Milfoil duty at the Narrows Boat Landing from 4-5 pm. Normally, that would be an easy shift but with Irene coming, boats were being taken out of the lake. And as you can see from the photo, the [...]

With the rich ballplayers and the richer owners fighting each other over how to share their ever-increasing pot of gold, I wasn't sure if the 2011 Schedule Magnet was going to be printed. As we all know, peace broke out, training camps opened, the pre-season games started so the magnets were ordered.

I will be sending some through the mail but call me at the office or send an e-mail if you would like a magnet. I also have them at the office and [...]
