Lovell and Kezar Lake at Your Local Newstands

When both Vacation Renters and prospective homebuyers come to Kezar Realty, I always have a packet of information prepared for them. In addition to local publications such as Lake Living, West Coast Maine and the Buyer's Guide to Real Estate, I also include information about hiking trails, Greater Lovell Land Trust activities and articles that have appeared in local newspapers over the past few years. All of them highlight the many diverse activities that are available in our western Maine region.

It is, however, surprising to have lengthy stories about Lovell appear in two different magazines in the very same month. The first is in Down East magazine, available everywhere, and the second is in a not so widely-distributed publication called Maine Townsman. The latter journal is made available to municipal officials throughout the state.

Both articles approach our town from two very different angles and they are both very accurate. Click here for the Down East magazine article (starting on page 94). Click here for the Maine Townsman article (starting on page 19).

BTW, let me know if you happen to come across any newsstands!

WMBOR Realtor of the Year Dinner

Thought it would be nice to post some photos from the recent Realtor of the Year dinner at the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield. I certainly had a great time with the wonderful dinner, great company, lots of laughs and a funny song written and sung by Carol Noonan. Thanks to everyone for their effort in making this a special evening, especially our sponsors and to Michael Berube of Maine Virtual Home Tours for bringing his camera and taking photos.

IMG_2036Congratulations to Phoebe Crowe as the winner of the 2016 Lovell Old Home Days 5k Run t-shirt design. Phoebe just graduated from the Fryeburg Academy, lives in Lovell enjoys graphic design, and will be attending the Maine College of Art in the fall. Phoebe is the first two-time winner of the 5K run's design contest.

Every year, art teacher Steve Pullan conducts a competition where students are asked to incorporate the themes of Lovell and running. For creating the winning design, Phoebe receives a $100 prize, as well as seeing her artwork around town.

This year’s run is on July 16th at 9:45 am. Only the first 100 registered runners are guaranteed a t-shirt, so please sign-up early. Visit for more information, a registration form, photos and records.

The 5k run precedes the Old Home Days Parade and begins the day’s festivities.
