Congratulations to Phoebe Crowe as the winner of the 2016 Lovell Old Home Days 5k Run t-shirt design. Phoebe just graduated from the Fryeburg Academy, lives in Lovell enjoys graphic design, and will be attending the Maine College of Art in the fall. Phoebe is the first two-time winner of the 5K run's design contest.
Every year, art teacher Steve Pullan conducts a competition where students are asked to incorporate the themes of Lovell and running. For creating the winning design, Phoebe receives a $100 prize, as well as seeing her artwork around town.
This year’s run is on July 16th at 9:45 am. Only the first 100 registered runners are guaranteed a t-shirt, so please sign-up early. Visit Lovell5k.com for more information, a registration form, photos and records.
The 5k run precedes the Old Home Days Parade and begins the day’s festivities.
