Around here, it doesn't really matter if you like the Fryeburg Fair or not. It has an impact on everyone. There are a few businesses that shut down for the week because they are working at the Fair. And unless you want to be sitting in a long line of traffic, you need to be familiar with the back roads.

Although a May frost did do damage to many of the region's trees, this is still a good time to go out and pick your own apples.
