The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library's Annual Meeting was held last night at the Brick Church (the new meeting room is not yet ready--almost there!) where the election of the new trustees take place (Julianne Brosnan and Barbara Collins). In addition to the "business" meeting, there is a speaker and last night summer resident David Morine spoke about his latest book Two Coots in a Canoe which is about his 400 mile canoe trip down the Connecticut River with an old friend. Close to 90 people were in attendance and it was an enjoyable evening. The author signed books and generously donated a portion of each book's proceeds to the library.
A major milestone took place at the library this afternoon as the wood handicapped ramp to the front entrance was taken down. That brings us so much closer to the opening of the new addition. Next step is for the state to sign off on the elevator.
