On an informal basis, people have been cross-country skiing and sledding on Lake Kezar Country Club's golf course for many years. But to my knowledge, it was never groomed on a regular basis. Credit the efforts of Mike Mendonca, Director of Lovell Recreation, and Brad Littlefield, President of the golf course, to make this happen. Lovell Rec will do the grooming and although donations will be accepted, the skiing will be free! Plus, there will be trails for all levels of skiing--Beginners, Intermediate and Experienced.
Parking is in the lot directly across from the Lovell Historical Society. Kudos to local artist Roger C. Williams for a great looking sign. What a great gift to Lovell and the region. Now all we need is more snow!
