It has become a tradition that Rusty and I run the OHD 5k course the Sunday before the race. I won't tell you my time but Rusty had a little more gas left in the tank at the end than I did. I'm hoping that Saturday's weather is as perfect as today's.
Sign-ups for the race are well ahead of last year's pace. Only the first 100 registered runners receive a t-shirt with their entry fee. There are only 24 spots left before hitting 100. Go to lovell5k.com for a paper entry form or a link to RunReg.com to register on-line. Click here to see this year's t-shirt design.
Another nice tradition for the race are the distinctive awards given to the top male and female runners. Nathan Macomber, a local glass blower with a studio in Conway, NH, has provided the awards from the very first year. For 2011, each top runner will receive an etched glass bowl.
