2011 Lovell Old Home Days 5k Run

Oh What a Day! Not only did pre-registered entrants surpass the previous race high, but the numbers kept increasing as the time for the race was getting closer. 150 people started on Kimball Road and 150 crossed the finish line for a new race record. In between there was plenty of fun and excitement as the lead runners, Timothy Even and Silas Eastman, separated from the pack and stayed with each other until Silas pulled ahead on the approach to the finish line.

The Wicked Good Store parking lot was full with the parade participants waiting to start after the last runner passed, Lovell Village was lined with spectators cheering the runners on as they made their way up the quiet rural road to the turnaround and to the finish line.

Congrats to Terry Ballou, the Top Female Finisher with a time of 21:28, and to Silas Eastman, the Overall Winner with a time of 16:29. After finishing a close second for several years, Silas has won his first Lovell OHD 5k. Terry has won for the third time!

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this possible.
