Lovell Recreation Director

Talk about hitting the ground running! Meg Dyer, the new Lovell Recreation Department Director, has not had the luxury of slowly learning the intricacies of her new position. When you take over a Recreation Department as active as Lovell's, every season brings a heavy workload of program sign-ups and management.

Meg is well-known in the Lovell community. She grew up in the Portland area and went to the University of Maine at Farmington and has taught 7th grade at the Molly Ockett Middle School for many years. Always active in sports and organizing activities, Meg's goal was to become either an athletic or recreation director. She will be working hard to attend as many Department events as possible and to offer a wide variety of activities for both children and adults.

For many summers, Meg has worked at the Severance Lodge Club where she is now a baker and sous chef. The next few weeks will be very busy as preparation for the Department's summer programs, Old Home Days and the Tour de Lovell are all under way.

Meg has started a Lovell Rec blog, Lovellrec.blogspot.com where you can find complete information about all of the Department's programs and upcoming events. You may also contact Meg via e-mail at: LovellRecDirector@gmail.com. Good Luck Meg!
