The official transfer of the Lovell Village lot from the five office condominium owners to the purchaser occurred on June 20th, 2013. The new owner, Menotomy Consulting and Development, Inc., is excited to be part of this historic lot's next chapter. John P. Smith, of Sweden, President of Menotomy Consulting and Development, Inc., plans to construct a two-unit office building at the intersection of Main Street and Christian Hill Road. Each unit will be approximately 1,000 square feet in size. The single-story building will have white clapboard siding, green shutters and architectural shingles and is designed to blend in with the existing village buildings.
Now that the lot is vacant, you start wondering just how did that large building fit on the small lot? The old multilevel structure covered more than forty-six percent of the lot. Mr. Smith says that the new building will cover just over twenty-three percent of the lot which will greatly increase space for client/customer parking.
It appears that Lovell will be very happy with the new building's appearance. Mr. Smith formed Menotomy Consulting and Development, Inc. in 1986 and has extensive experience in real estate development and small business consulting.
