November 11th is when our nation honors the veterans of all wars. Originally, the holiday was to mark the end of the First World War but was changed in 1954 to include veterans of all wars. Pat Foley and Lynn Hurd have organized a very special exhibit at the Lovell Historical Society's Kimball Stanford House. Nicely arranged are photographs, documents and uniforms that will help celebrate the lives of all Lovell's veterans who have served and continue to serve our country.

Everyone is invited to visit this Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Refreshments will be served and it is invited that many veterans, as well as their family and friends, will attend. Please feel free to bring any special items to share.

Here's a great idea for Sunday Afternoon--Come at noon to the Center Lovell Fire House for the Chili Challenge (all proceeds go directly to the Lovell Friends Helping Friends Fuel Fund) and then make your way to this wonderful exhibit at the Historical Society!

Please don't forget to attend the Veterans Day service in Lovell Village. After stops in East Conway and Fryeburg, members will arrive in Lovell around noon. Immediately following the ceremony, the VFW's Ladies Auxilary invites everyone to the VFW on Smarts Hill Road for lunch.
