A large crowd was present Monday at the Memorial Day observance in Lovell Village. The ceremony was led by Richard King, prayers by Joseph Moody and poignant remarks by Norma King. Devin LaCasce sang the National Anthem and Brent LaCasce played Taps.

2011 Lovell Old Home Days T-Shirt Design

Congratulations to Kim Hurst for submitting the winning design for this year's Lovell Old Home Days 5k Run! As part of the competition, Fryeburg Academy art students are asked to incorporate the themes of Lovell and running into their artwork. Kim is a senior at the Academy, lives in Chatham, NH. and will be attending Wheaton College in Norton, MA. For drawing the winning design, Kim receives a $100 prize, as well as seeing her artwork on shirts around town! [...]

I am not an expert on moose migration, but having lived in our current house for seven years, I do know that every spring a few moose come out of our woods and up through the field.
