Third Annual Chili Challenge Results
An impressive 85 ballots were cast at today's Lovell's Chili Challenge. After paying their $6 entry fee, guests were able to enjoy 15 different chili recipes, plus a variety of chips, cornbread, cookies and ice cream. Lovell's Veteran's Day Ceremony
It was a sunny day with a breeze at Lovell's Veteran's Day ceremony at the War Memorial. A very nice crowd of both young and old came. Joe Moody led the service, we sang America the Beautiful and Nicole Tichenor of Lovell played Taps beautifully. And Phyllis Chandler laid the wreath at the monument.
A good portion of the crowd went over to the VFW Hall for a delicious lunch. A big Thank You to all our [...]

Two 'Trompe L'oeil (since I can't speak French, I say "fooling the eye") exhibits at the Portland Museum of Art. Both were a pleasure to view and fun looking at the deceptive paintings. And the exhibit of John Haberle's paintings were very informative, especially how he wove in references to his critics and current events. Another exhibit on the first floor was [...]
