A recent spurt of settlements, homes under agreement, showings and offers written certainly is a welcomed change of pace from the past three-four years. By no means am I prepared to call it a trend, but much like the first signs of spring that come every year after a long winter, perhaps this is a signal that we are headed to a more stable [...]

Eden Valley Bakers
I grew up with my Mom working in a small, old-fashioned bakery in Radburn, NJ. Great memories of walking in the front door and being hit with the magical aroma of freshly-baked cakes, pies and doughnuts. It was the kind of place where all of the products were made from scratch and baked in the back, rather than processed, frozen and then [...]

In this part of western Maine, Rosie's Lovell Village Store, is the place to go for great food and to catch-up on local news. Heck, I often bring clients to Rosie's for lunch or a cup of coffee to show them that [...]

Super Service
By all accounts, it appears that most retailers are very happy with this Christmas selling season. Stores are full and people are spending more money that they have been in recent years. The shopping experience, however, rarely is pleasant. Aisles are crowded, checkout lines are long, kids are tired and for some reason, many clerks are [...]

Making Snow on the Slopes
No question it is cold outside (we go from mid-50's to mid-teens over the past few days) but Mother Nature has not been helping the ski slopes. Here's a picture of Shawnee Peak from the Moose Pond Causeway. They are working around the clock making snow and they are hoping to be open by this Friday. It does take a tremendous amount of water [...]
